LZC10R Command Line Compressor for 32/64bit Windows

Command Line Tool for Windows XP, 7 and 8 platforms, compresses to Unix Lempel Ziv format for fast in-line decompression in embedded 8 bit systems.

This command line tool is ideal for development of embedded applications on Windows platforms. It is a direct replacement of the old LZC10.exe tool that could achieve the UNIX LZC10 format on a 16bit Windows machine.

The LZC10R.exe uses the same command line syntax and in addition produces a .asm output file which eliminates the step of converting the binary to an assembler text file that can be embedded in the source code.

The utility will run on Windows XP, 7 and 8 operating systems on 32 bit and 64 bit processors.

You can use the compression for webpages on embedded systems as well as compressing Xilinx code on embedded systems.

Typical compression ratios for Xilinx code is 50%, for web-pages the range is between ~70% for shorter files (below 1k bytes) up to 30% for files greater 1.5k bytes.

The input and binary output file name can be chosen, the assembler text output is using the input filename with a .ASM extension.

Command line example with input pipe:

lzc10r.exe
where abc.inf contains:

abc.htm
abc.bin

upon execution this will produce a binary compressed output file of abc.bin and an assembler output file of abc.asm
