Sentinel Uniterruptible Power Supply suitable for powering up to two bolts or strike mechanisms and up to two Ringdale Combi-Readers (Combination Fingerprint, Keypad, Proxi, etc)
Ringdale’s Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) combines a power supply and battery charger, with space for one lead acid battery (up to 18Ah). This model provides power to up to two Combi-Readers (combination recognition devices for Proximity/Swipe card and Fingerprint readers, Keypads, etc.). It can also support up to two locking devices such as door strikes or electronic bolts for high security applications.
In general, Sentinel Network Access Control systems are suitable for driving up to two bolts or two strike mechanisms and up to two recognition devices.
Acting as an Uninterruptible Power Supply, this model is ideal for use in any Access Control application, whether networked or stand-alone, requiring long continuous operation in the event of power failure. In normal operation, the battery is trickle charged via a built-in mains transformer to provide for extra redundancy, feeding power to the attached Access Control devices. During a power outage, the battery continues supplying power.

This model of UPS is designed specifically to be used with Ringdale’s range of Combination Readers (Combis) and associated door strikes or security bolts, requiring very little power to operate and vastly extending operating time available during a power failure to many times that of conventional systems.
Ringdale also offers a broad range of compatible readers, including standard ISO Proximity/Swipe cards, Keypads, Barcodes, Fingerprint and Wiegand Protocol readers.
