Unique low power ANSI door strike mechanism allows months of standby time from a battery backup, open or locked

Ringdale’s ANSI Pulse Operated Door Strike provides a most economic use of electrical power. It operates with a pulse of just 0.1 seconds (100 milliseconds) to change from a locked to an unlocked position, or vice versa. It does not require permanent power to keep open or locked (in similar mechanisms this operation can take up to 10 watts).

The Door Strike is universally compatible with any other access control device. A selection of faceplates are also available to fit Ringdale’s ANSI Door Strike. (Faceplates are sold seperately).

Ringdale’s Door Strike can be supplied either to fail open (power to lock) or fail locked (power to open).

In the event of power failure, Ringdale’s Door Strike can continue operation with a battery or an uninterruptable power supply, such as Ringdale’s optional Network Access Controller, a 12volt power supply with 17Ah battery back-up.

Ringdale’s Card Readers can be controlled from a central software program over a 10/100base Ethernet network. In the event of a fire alarm, this software can enable all doors to be opened.

Using the Door Strike in conjunction with Ringdale’s Proximity Card Readers and Controllers, users simply wave an ID card (with a unique built in code) in front of the reader unit. The event is then logged and if the user has been granted access the door will be unlocked.
