Ringdale Printservers were the first printserver devices to provide multi protocol capabilities in the world. Ringdale continues to
push the envelope in the technology to connect printing systems to the network by providing the largest range of internal and external printserver
devices. Unique features include the ability to set-up our printservers to receive and print emails or to be the receiving Internet Fax station.
With the advent of Multi Function Printing systems that include Printer, Copier, Scanner, Email and Fax capabilities the need for an access and
accounting manangement system became a must for many large and small companies wanting to keep control over their MFP assets. Ringdale developed
the FollowMe® Printing Access Control and Accounting System which brought the user convenience and privacy on an MFP device and to the corporation
security and accountability.
Many of Ringdale's printservers have the FollowMe® capability with a built-in reader input. Reader inputs can cater for a wide range of applications and is suited for applications where a mix of identification methods including
proximity cards, swipe cards, drivers licenses, barcodes, PIN keypads as well as biometrics may be used in a mixed identification
environment or in a dual or triple factor identification scenario.
A unique device is the Ringdale® ELine™ Ethernet to Ethernet "printserver" - As most printers and MFP devices already have an Ethernet connection built-in,
the need for an external printserver no longer exists. To inject the ID Reader Input the E-Line assumes the printers IP address and passes print data to and from the
printing application transparently. This device allows Ringdale to provide the most coherent integration of any make of printer into the FollowMe® Printing
topology.
