Wiegand Interface to HID USB converter with Type-B connector

This device converts any numeric Wiegand Data string into HID compatible output. Ideal for a large variety of Wiegand compatible readers that need to be attached to a Ringdale Access Control System or a Laptop.

The unit supports 26-bit to 37-bit Wiegand readers.

The supply voltage for the reader is selectable between 5 volts and 12 volts. Many Wiegand compatible readers require more than 5 volts to operate reliably. Those devices can be solely powered from the converter which has a built-in 12V power supply for the Wiegand reader, as long as the reader's power requirements are within the devices specification.

With this capability the device has been tested to work with a number of Wiegand reader devices:

HID (small reader)

Larger readers will require their own power supply (see wiring instructions of the reader and the HID USB Converter).
