Ringdale's PRINTSET Software consists of a set of programs allowing the user to view and configure the LAN printer interface.
The software runs on a DOS/Windows PC, UNIX host, Windows NT, Windows '95 or an Apple Mac.
The Windows PRINTSET program uses IPX/SPX, NETBEUI or UDP to communicate between workstations and interfaces, and is therefore suitable for a wide variety of networks including Windows '95, Windows for Workgroups, Novell, UNIX and Apple Mac as well as mixed environments.
The UNIX PRINTSET programs use UDP and the Apple Mac version uses the EtherTalk protocol.
Novell (Bindery and NDS) Printservers and queues can be added and configured from PRINTSET without having to use Pconsole or NWAdmin.
Status information by sound alerts and colour changes on the main display aid in identification of printer problems. Choose to display TCP/IP or Novell, sort by name, serial number or network. Flash download selected devices, store and print error logs.
