Ringdale’s Internet Kiosk is a user-friendly, touch operated internet access point ideal for use in areas with high levels of public traffic such as shopping malls, supermarkets, airports, railway & bus stations, hotels, libraries, bars and much more.

The kiosk’s rugged, steel outer casing, designed and manufactured by Ringdale, incorporates 1.5mm thick steel, a bullet proof screen panel and a rigid cast aluminum base, which bolts securely to the ground. Further deterrents to theft and vandalism are an anti-theft lock preventing unauthorized access and an overall weight of 300 kg (661 lbs).

The machine incorporates the latest technology by using a 19-inch, touch sensitive “toughtouch” flat screen with ClearTek protective glass overcoating. The screen is 1024 touch points per axis, touch accurate to +/-1% and anti-glare, allowing use in bright areas. Its durable, shatterproof design gives the kiosk extra security.

Ringdale’s OverLAN ISDN Router comes complete with the kiosk and connects directly to an ISDN line for fast communication with the internet.

Ringdale’s kiosks bespoke browser software provides instant access to e-mail facilities and websites using on-screen touch sensitive keyboards. Inexperienced or expert computer and internet users alike may navigate through news, business, travel and entertainment subjects or search for their desired topics while safeguards protect against undesirable internet areas.

Applications may be tailored to suit individual requirements. These options range from swipe card readers and ID recognition to external printers or speaker systems. The server’s specification may also be modified to suit various applications.
