The Ringdale FX-TX Media Converter is a low cost and efficient way to interconnect LAN segments that utilise different media. The Ringdale Fast Ethernet FX-TX Media Converter is lightweight and compact, has a low power consumption and its own integral all voltage power supply.

This new device transforms 100baseTX Fast Ethernet electrical signals on copper cables into 100baseFX light signals for fibre optic cables.

The Media Converter operates half-duplex and full-duplex modes allowing support for 200Mbps (100Mbps in each direction) Fast Ethernet bandwidth. It offers a flexible alternative to copper cable repeaters and therefore allows longer cable runs within one collision domain.

Ringdales Media Converter has been carefully designed with the user in mind. Its compact size makes it ideal where space is at a premium and it comes complete with an integral all-voltage power supply. It is simple to install and has easy-to-view LED traffic indicators.
