PrintServ 3 Print Server

This compact product from Ringdale enables the user to concurrently connect three printers to a LAN via its dual IEEE 1284 compliant parallel printer ports and single high-speed RS232 interface.

The PrintServ 3 supports all popular network operating systems and protocols enabling users to print from Novell, UNIX and Windows environments in a single product.

PrintServ 3 supports Netware versions 2.xx, 3.xx and 4.xx in Printserver and Remote Printer modes in a Novell environment. The unit has been enhanced to support Novell NDS (Netware Directory Services), alongside Windows NT, Windows 95 and Windows for Workgroups. This is due to the products windows printing system running TCP/IP protocol.

Ringdales multi-platform Printserver supports LPR, FTP and LPD UNIX spoolers to ensure compatibility with many UNIX host systems.

PrintServ 3 is supplied with a free comprehensive suite of network management software running under Novell, UNIX, Windows, DOS and Apple Mac environments.

The PrinServ 3 Printserver can be managed by PeripheralVision, Ringdales leading network management solution, over any TCP/IP network and over the Internet. The device is also supported by HP-Openview.
