Megaswitch 10

The Megaswitch 10 - a 10/100baseTX 8+2 switching hub

Ringdale's Megaswitch 10, is an 8 x 10basT and 2 x 10/100baseTX Switching Hub.

This 10 port Switching Hub uses an automatic self-learning method to enhance its switching performance. As workstations are connected to the switch, it learns each node address and builds its own MAC address table. Unlike a Repeater Hub, the Megaswitch 10 can route data packets directly from port-to-port without congesting any of the other ports.

The new Megaswitch 10 module allows the user to upgrade their existing Ethernet networks and connect local workgroups to a Fast Ethernet backbone.

The 100baseTX Hub may be used to create power workgroups, facilitate high density switch aggregation and interconnect centrally located servers acheiving faster throughput. Ringdales 10 port Switching Hub is more cost efficient than any MPU software implementation.
