Viewing
The ePro Management utility allows you to get the status of Minit and LM-6488 Clients individually or by groups, reporting IP and Mac addresses, code revisions, configurations, etc.
Troubleshooting
The ePro Manager is an invaluable help when dealing with problem resolution. If a user reports a problem with, for instance, an application on the AS/400, do you really need to go to the expense of sending an already overworked technician? One of ePro Manager’s features is a remote control function that allows you to see exactly what is on the remote unit’s screen from your PC. In fact, you have complete control of the unit from your PC; to fix the problem, configure the unit or do screen captures to document the issue.
Firmware Upgrades
Upgrading an installed network of Minits or LM-6488 Clients to the latest version of firmware (to take advantage of a new feature, for example) is just a click or two of a mouse away. With ePro Manager the steps you’d take are:
1) Select the unit(s) to update. You can select individual units or convenient groups.
2) Select the code to download.
3) Click OK.
And no one needs to be manning the Minits or LM-6488 units. Downloads can even be scheduled to occur after hours or on weekends.
Schedules
To prevent unauthorized usage of any Minit or LM-6488, you can use the ePro Manager to schedule one, some or all units to shutdown every night at 6PM, for example, and schedule a “Wake on LAN” for every morning at 7AM.
