Kyocera FS100 Print Server

The Kyocera FS Laser Series network option card for Novell, UNIX, OS/2, LANManager, LANServer and Apple

This Fast Ethernet 100baseTX Printserver enables direct connection between any Kyocera FS series printer (including the 1600+) and an Ethernet network, with concurrent detection for 802.2, 802.3, SNAP and Ethernet II frame types.

Installation is simple. The network adapter is designed to fit inside the printer, giving input directly to the LAN in addition to the existing parallel and serial inputs which can still be utilised by a local PC (automatically shared with the input from the network).

Ringdales Kyocera FS100 supports all popular network operating systems and protocols with concurrent support for Novell, UNIX, OS/2 LANManager and LANServer, Windows 95, Windows NT, Windows for Workgroups, DEC and Apple EtherTalk.

In Novell the interface can be set up as a Remote Pritner or Printserver and operates with versions 3.xx and 4.xx with encrypted passwords and NDS support. In this environment the printer management software supplied allows easy installation from any local workstation onto the network. The Printserver utility program is supplied in DOS, Windows and Apple Mac formats.

The RJ-45 connection also works as a 10baseT network connection to ensure that investment is protected during migration to 100baseTX.

The Kyocera FS100 can be managed by PeripheralVision, Ringdales leading network management solution, over any TCP/IP network and over the Internet.
