LexNET 10baseFL Print Server
Plugs directly into a Lexmark printer giving complete access to a Fibre network
Ringdale's LexNET 10baseFL Printserver provides network connection for the Lexmark 4039 Plus and Optra printers. The Ringdale LexNet internal 10base Fibre interface supports multi-network operating sysems and can easily be installed into the following Lexmark printers: Optra family models (R, Rx, L, LX, Lxi), all 4039 and 4039 Plus printers.
The LexNet NIC (Network Interface Card) can be configured to support Novell, using Netware versions 2, 3 and 4, under Remote Printer and Printserver mode. In an OS/2 environment the NIC supports LANManager and LANServer under TCP/IP and NETBEUI.
Windows network platforms are supported via the ITC Windows printing system, allowing a transparent peer-to-peer printing system to be installed for Windows for Workgroups and Windows '95/'98. In an Apple Mac installation, the LexNet interface supports the EtherTalk networking protocol and will also support Laserwriter 7 and 8 emulation.
The LexNET 10baseFL Printserver can be managed by PeripheralVision, Ringdale's leading network management software solution, over any TCP/IP network and over the Internet. The decide is also supported by HP Openview.
