IBM Fibre Print Server
A new practical printing solution for IBM 4312 printers on a 10baseFL network
Ringdales new 10baseFL IBM Printserver offers network users power, openness and functionality. By simply plugging into the back of an IBM printer, it ensures a smooth and effortless installation allowing users complete network connectivity. The card supports multi-network operating systems and can easily be installed into an IBM 4312 printer.
The IBM FL Printserver can be configured to support a wide range of operating systems, including Novell, LAN Server and Windows NT. Modes are supported under Netware, versions 2.xx, 3.xx and 4.xx, Remote Printer and Printserver.
In an OS/2 environment the NIC supports LANManager and LANServer under TCP/IP and NETBEUI protocols.
In its commitment to open systems and network printing Ringdale has designed the Windows network platforms to be supported via the ITC Windows printing system, allowing an invisible printing system between workstations to be installed for Windows for Workgroups and Windows 95. Windows NT and UNIX system users can print using TCP/IP.
