Ringdale's 19-inch rack mountable version of the Megaswitch 10, an 8 x 10baseT and 2 x 10/100baseTX Switching Hub.
This 10 port Switching Hub uses an automatic self-learning method to enhance its switching performance. As each network device is connected, it learns each node address and builds its own MAC address table. Unlike a traditional Repeater Hub, Megaswitch 10 can route data packets directly from port-to-port without congesting any of the other ports.
The new Megaswitch 10 module allows the user to upgrade their existing Ethernet network and connect local workgroups to a Fast Ethernet backbone.
The 100baseTX Hub may be used to create power workgroups, facilitate high density switch aggregation and interconnect centrally located servers.
Ringdale Hubs support NPMP network management standards. Apart from advanced settings there is no software to load or configure, ensuring simple, trouble-free installation and operation.
Ringdale's 19-inch rack mountable Megaswitch 10 is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3 (CSMA/CD, 10baseT) and 802.3u (100baseTX standards).
