The Megaswitch 20 - a 4 x 10/100baseTX + 16 x 10baseT port Switching Hub
Ringdale’s Megaswitch 20 is a Switching hub with 8 + 8 x 10baseT ports and 2 + 2 x 10/100baseTX ports. The Hub uses an automatic self-learning method to enhance switching performance. As each workstation is connected, the node address is remembered and a unique MAC address table built. The Megaswitch 20 is able to route data packets directly from port-to-port without congestion.
The new Megaswitch 20 module enables the user to upgrade their existing Ethernet networks and connect local workgroups to a Fast Ethernet backbone.
Ringdale's 100baseTX Fast Ethernet Repeater Hub was specifically designed to save space in a 19-inch rack and its low power consumption reduces the cooling requirements. Adaptable to varying work environments, Ringdale's Megaswitch 20 may be utilized as two seperate Hubs. A choice of either 2 x 2 + 8 ports or, by joining two of the 10/100 ports together, 4 + 16 ports can be selected.
Apart from advanced settings, there is no software to load or configure, ensuring simple, trouble-free installation and operation.
