Ethernet to Token Ring Bridge with TCP/IP and SPX/IPX support
Ringdales Bridge for connecting one single Ethernet end-device to Token Ring networks - Now with Novell SPX/IPX and TCP/IP support
The Bridge provides a cost efficient connection between any Ethernet TCP/IP or SPX/IPX device and a Token Ring network, replacing the need for an Ethernet segment on the Token Ring network. Printers, digital copiers, internet fax machines and network computers with built in Ethernet connection can be directly connected to a Token Ring network.
Ringdale's Ethernet to Token Ring Bridge offers easy access for Ethernet devices to a Token Ring network where there is no Ethernet segment. Installation is quick and easy as the device does not require any setup or configuration. Once installed, the Bridge will operate automatically.
An Ethernet connection is made with an RJ-45 connector configured to allow a straight cable to run to any 10baseT Ethernet device. The connection to the Token Ring is made using a Type 1 cable on a 9-way DB connector or Type 3 cable on an RJ-45 connector. The Bridge has the ability to automatically sense which Token Ring connection is used and the Token Ring speed at either 4MHz or 16MHz.
Now supporting SPX/IPX for printing devices
