PrintPro 99 with PSU
A low-cost, multi-protocol printserver that can also print any fax or e-mail received via a mail server. Supports Panasonic GDI Printers*.
The PrintPro 99 from Ringdale is the easiest and most cost effective way to connect any laser, dot matrix, inkjet printer or plotter with a parallel port, to a 10baseT Ethernet network. Based on the successful PrintPro 97, the PrintPro 99 has been developed to include the provision of SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) which allows the PrintPro 99 to receive text e-mails and embedded, preformatted print files to any PCL language supporting printer. The PrintPro 99 has its own e-mail address using the POP-3 protocol now widely used by the majority of e-mail clients. Once set up, the device automatically logs onto a mail server upon power-up. The PrintPro 99 can also receive Internet faxes sent from Internet fax machines. It uses the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) Internet fax standard to allow any printer to which it is connected to receive a fax from any other IETF compliant device. Set up and management of the PrintPro 99 can be administered over any TCP/IP network or across the Internet using PeripheralVision, Ringdale's unrivalled network management software. This software enables mapping of complete network configurations for a wide range of multi-platform operating systems. * Requires the necessary GDI printer drivers from Panasonic.
