19-inch Token Ring to Ethernet Network TCP/IP Router

Router allowing connection of a complete Ethernet network to a Token Ring network

Ringdale’s 19-inch Ethernet to Token Ring Network Router provides a highly cost effective solution for connecting an entire Ethernet network and a Token Ring network. Printers, digital copiers, internet fax machines and network computers attached to the Ethernet side of the network may be directly connected to a Token Ring network. The Router also allows Token Ring peripherals to be accessed from the Ethernet side of the network.

Ringdale’s 19-inch Ethernet to Token Ring Router offers easy access for interaction between Ethernet and Token Ring networks. Installation is quick and easy and once configured the Bridge requires no further maintenance.

Ethernet connection is made with an RJ-45 connector configured to allow a straight cable to run to the 10baseT Ethernet Network. The connection to the Token Ring is made using a Type 1 cable on a 9-way DB connector or Type 3 cable on an RJ-45 connector. The Router has the ability to automatically sense which Token Ring connection is used and the Token Ring speed at either 4MHz or 16MHz.

The Router is designed to be easily mounted into an industry standard 19-inch rack system for convenience.
