Ringdales EIO Printserver allows the user to share a 4000 series HP printer by connecting it directly to Ethernet/Fast Ethernet networks. It is compatible will all popular operating systems and communications protocols. The internal Printserver delivers Enhanced Input/Output (EIO) for Hewlett-Packard printers. The EIO technology is based on AB-Semicon PCI chips, providing a substantial increase in the I/O bandwidth and data transfer rate when compared to the older 8-bit MIO bus. Its management is unrivalled ensuring quick and easy installation onto any network environment. The user simply has to use the Web Browser to adjust its parameters. Convenient setup of IP and subnet mask from the front panel of the printer. The unit is supplies with a printer management software utility (Printset), supporting NMP and NPMP standards. Ringdales Printset network management software runs on all popular platforms including Novell, UNIX, Apple Mac, Windows and DOS. The HP EIO Printserver can be managed by PeripheralVision, Ringdales leading network management software solution, over any TCP/IP network and over the Internet. The device is also supported by HP-Openview.
