Ringdales Optra S/T/W is a 10baseFL internal printserver designed for the Optra S, T and W families of Lexmark printers.The printserver is extremely simple to install and supports multi-network operating systems.

This 10baseT fibre printserver can be configured to support Novell under Netware versions including NDS (Netware Directory Services), remote printer and printserver mode.

In an OS/2 environment the NIC supports LANManager/LANServer under TCP/IP and NETBEUI.

Windows network platforms are supported via IPS Lite printing system, allowing a transparent peer-to-peer printing system to be installed for Windows for Workgroups, Windows ‘95, ‘98 and 2000.

In an Apple Mac installation, the Lexmark FL Optra S/T/W supports the EtherTalk networking protocol. The unit also supports DEC systems via LAT protocol under VMS operating systems and DCPS is also supported as standard.

The Lexmark FL Optra S/T/W can be managed over any TCP/IP network and over the Internet using PeripheralVision®, Ringdale’s leading network management software solution. The device is also supported by HP-Openview™.

It is also possible to set up IP-address, subnet mask and other parameters directly from the front panel of the printer.
