FollowMe® Embedded - HP
FollowMe Embedded technology provides complete security for printed documents and accountability for HP LaserJet printers and MFPs. Unique roaming capabilities let you share output devices without loss of privacy or security while enforcing policies to save toner and paper.
Ringdale's FollowMe® Embedded technology provides full control of MFP functions, including copying, printing, e-mail, fax and scanning. Through the use of an embedded panel on HP MFPs, FollowMe Embedded can provide increased workflow efficiency by utilizing such features as secure authentication for all print jobs, which enables accounting for all data flowing through the system and centralized storage of data for reporting, auditing and exporting to billing as well as automated insertion of users' personal details when sending e-mail, faxes and scanning to a folder.
FollowMe® Embedded also provides an optional print job management interface that can be used with HP devices, allowing users to quickly select which print jobs they wish to print directly from the printer’s front panel.
The functionality supporting the key security and accounting features for FollowMe Embedded derive from FollowMe Printing. With FollowMe Printing:
- Print jobs are never lost
- Print jobs FOLLOW the user to their choice of print device
- Users must identify themselves at the output device before print jobs are released and printed
